My camera came today, and mom and I are going to visit the Spook Light
for some sunset Spook footage.
Will upload when possible. Keeping my fingers crossed that tonight
will be a good night for it.

Tonight /This morning
Wonderful lack of traffic, but also a lack of Spook Light. Only two
other cars to be seen. They get bored and keep driving around though.
Between midnight and 2:00 am seems to be the best time to go lately. A
cow keeps freaking me out.

Spook Light Road
E 50 Road is "Spook Light Road" S 700 Road is Stateline Road, and serves as the boundary between Missouri and OKlahoma. Traveling North from this intersection will take you up toward I-44 and Joplin, Missouri. Traveling West from this intersection will take you again toward I-44 but in a different location altogether, traveling faithfully through those roadways will take you toward Quapaw, Oklahoma.

May 10 2008
A supercell wedge tornado came through Spook Light road as well as 3
counties in 2 states killing 20+ people
and devistating countless lives. There is a monument to those killed
at the intersection of highway 43 and BB highway.

Good Night Spook Light
Well I think it's time and we're going home. Iris road again, Gum is
more interesting but also more dangerous. The trip before last time we
came to Spook Light we stayed until around 4 am and on the way home
(and to buy breakfast) we spotted a guy welding! At 4 in the
morning!!?! We thought it was a road block at first because comming up
over the hill we could see flashing blue light.

Spook Light adventure
Well here we are again, wasting another perfectly good evening, and I
wouldn't have it any other way.
One thing I can't stand about comming out here early in the night,
there is so much trafic. E 50 rd is paved but many of the roads around
here aren't. I am still glad to come out though. We started out the
night on the bridge but eventually moved to my old standby. We are
all excited to see the llamas (I will try to upload pic later as
reception is poor out here).
Spook Light trip tonight!!
Well it worked, the people we were with aren't comming, but I talked
my boyfriend into going. We are riding with my mom and her Ex in my
grandma's Caddy. As we ride down there I am amazed at the tornado
damage is evident even at night (my mom is the one that pointed it
out). My boyfriend wants me to quit typing now.

Spook Light Trip
Last night I went to the Spook Light, and learned something new. My
best friend from high school came by with her boyfriend. I hadn't
seen her in a really long time and since we had all been there
together before; I suggested we go to the Spook Light and they seemed
to like the idea. Once we got there her boyfriend said he always sat
parked on the bridge (over Warren branch) facing East and the Spook
Light approached the car from the west once up to a distance of 15-20
feet from the car. It sounded promising but between myself not being
able to stay quiet and my boyfriend's impatience with the light in
general, we didn't see it. I will be trying this spot again soon.
Thanks!

Spook Light Visitors
1866 is widely accepted as the first reported sighting, the Hornett
Spook Light is infamous in the four state region. There are as many
different legends about the Spook Light as there are stories about
sightings of the light. Around here it is not uncommon to find
several generations of people with Spook Light stories. Some
people even offer alternate viewing locations, E 50 road is the
most popular spot but E 40 road is also a possibility. Sightings
even occur further west near Devil's Hollow and Devil's
Promenade bridge. I have even viewed the light looking east at
this location.

Last night/ this morning
It was really foggy when I went to the spook light last night. We got
there around 2:30 and I finally gave into my boyfriend's demands to be
taken home at 3:55. Saw some strange stuff but nothing amazing. This
was one of the first times I had visited the Spook Light at this hour and it was pretty creepy.
